Training is Key to Success

Having worked at Protective Packaging LtdFIBC Liner for 11 years there is still so much to learn.

Since June my role has changed and I have been managing the Sales and Customer Support Department which is the heartbeat of the company, constantly  busy taking orders and enquiries for our wide range of  products,  be it 3 dimensional Barrier Foil Bags, Barrier Foil Rolls, Drum Liners, Spouted Barrier Foil Liners to name just a few.

To help in my new role, I attended an external training course which was most beneficial and as we’re constantly striving to improve our Customer service and product knowledge,  all Customer Support  team members  are involved in an ongoing training plan.

Motivational Sales Bell

This week we have had a wall mounted brass bell fitted in the Sales & Customer Support office. The bell is to be rung by any member of the team that has converted an enquiry into an order. The idea of the bell is to motivate the team and to give recognition for sales performance. It is also a morale booster and will definitely add some fun to the day.

Fountain of All Knowledge!

Here at Protective Packaging our catalogue of barrier foil laminates is constantly expanding and evolving to suit the many applications. That’s why our Customer and Sales Support team (myself included), recently underwent a training course on our barrier foil  laminates with our “Fountain of Knowledge” Mr Paul Walker, so we can pass on this ever expanding knowledge of our complex barrier foil laminates to you the customer!  We can then convert these barrier foils into any size bag
Foil Bag or liner you may require for any purpose.

As well as the training on our barrier foil laminates, we also took part in a days sales training with an external consultant,  developing the skills that we require to obtain the correct  information,   ensuring that  we provide you,  the user, with accurate information and the correct products for your application, be it the barrier foil laminates themselves, our waterproof case lining, desiccants, hand sealers,  cushioning or shock prevention equipment such as Skid-Mates, Shockwatch,  Tip’N’Tell indicators or drop and tell indicators.

First Aid at Work

Laura from our Customer Support team recently completed the training course “First Aid at Work,  Level 3”.   She is now the official First Aider to cover all staff in Unit 4 at Protective Packaging along with 2 other colleagues.

Here at Protective Packaging we handle heavy goods such as rolls of aluminium foil before converting into Barrier Foil Bags and Foil Liners and several  staff operate heavy machinery on a daily basis so it is imperative we have the safety knowledge just in case any accidents should happen.
