ERP Support Analyst

Job Title: ERP Support Analyst
Department: IT
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Position Type: Permanent / Full-time
Hours of Work: The role is 40 hours per week (Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm, Fridays: 8am-4.10pm)

Purpose of Role:

  • To maintain and aid in implication of MS Dynamics Business Central ERM
  • To maintain the company in-house developed MS Access and SQL Server Database
  • To maintain the companies computer hardware and software
  • To maintain the companies Virtual Server Farm
  • To maintain the companies network and peripherals
  • To maintain all user Active Directory accounts and Office 365 accounts
  • To maintain the Security Policies, Firewalls and Anti-Virus / Anti-Spam Software
  • To manage 3rd party supplier relationships
  • To maintain the companies 3CX VOIP telephone system

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the Installation and Development of MS Dynamics Business Central
  • Support all company staff in the use of Microsoft Office 365 based software
  • Resolve, escalate to 3rd Party Suppliers and search resources to fix hardware, software and peripherals issues as and when they arise
  • Manage the Virtual server farm, using Windows Server 2016 for all accounts, group policies and services Including Terminal Server, DNS and DHCP
  • Installation and management of Printers and other peripherals
  • Manage all Virtual Servers and PC’s running in VMWare
  • Manage the Cyber Security software and hardware including DrayTek, Ubiquiti Dream Machine and RDP Guard
  • Work within company IT Security policies


  • MS Dynamics Central Business (Up to Developer Level)
  • MS Visual Studio (Up to Developer Level)
  • MS SQL Server 2016 (Administrator Level
  • MS Visual Basics for Access (Up to Developer Level)
  • Terminal Services Server (User / Management Level)
  • Fully Understands TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Internet Security, TSS Security, Group Policies, Server Domains, IIS, FTP and Web Hosting
  • Ability to install new software within Terminal Services
  • Ability to install new operating systems and maintain Upgrades and Updates, both PC and Server
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office Software to all levels
  • Knowledge of VOIP telephone systems in particular 3CX
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 Email


  • User / Developer in MS Dynamics Business Central
  • User / Developer level in Visual Studio
  • Administration level in MS SQL Server, tables and Queries
  • Knowledge of MS Exchange Server and Office 365
  • Knowledge of 3CX VOIP telephone systems and telephone hardware and soft phones
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Flexibility to work to resolution
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills


  • Proven ability to Produce MS Visual Studio Widgets for MS Dynamics Business Central.
  • Proven 3rd Level Technical Support Background
  • Proven Man-Management Background
  • Ability to work both Hands-on and to delegate
